The original Jorah concept looked so savage it was for Helga the barbarian fetishers only. Now she's more universally appealing.

Eve was the reason why i first picked up the GW box.Then i saw "no fees"

And i think putting a veiled muslem style girl on the Nightfal box was an original idea too.

For a more appealing look i suppose. Quite frankly it doesn't matter to me what/who is on the box. What matters most is game play and having fun

I thought the reason is pretty obvious.

Men play games and it also just so happen that they are attracted to hot looking womans. It also helps that a lot of womans like hot womans as well lol.

Prophecies had three boxes, each with two characters (one on each side). There was Eve, Cynn, and the unnamed mesmer and ranger for the girls, and Mhenlo and the unnamed warrior for the guys.

Both Factions poster children were female (Nika and the unnamed Luxon ritualist).

Nightfall had a male paragon and female dervish, both unnamed.

Eye of the North has yet another lady, Jora.

So, three guys to eight girls... I think I know what NCSoft's target audience is...

The Jorah concept was fantastic. She looked great and was very convincing. Very attractive to with a great solid figure (for non-teenagers I guess...). The new Jorah (or the 3d version) looks more like a model dressed up as Jorah. There to look all cute and pose for pictures instead of fighting for the honour of the clan or whatever. Not convincing at all. No way those skinny arms are gonna swing anything remotely heavy, let alone a huge friggin' Claymore. I hate fantasy....

I personally like the face of the 3D High res jora, but perhaps with the build of the refined concept...not too skinny but not too built on her.

Jora is actually really cool, in the newest! All the other girls(EVE, the faction and nightfall girls) where ugly, but this Jora is cool.

She looks hot, she has cool armor, but most cool is her hair. she got this cool long hair with big locks in them. she looks very uniqe. I would pay for a really big poster of Jora.

i recall loadsa different boxes for the first game and a few different for factions. i had eve i think, then a ritualist then varesh i think

I liked the original concept art of jora the most, althought the suction-cup-bra looked really goofy and it's not a surprise to see that they ditched it. The latest CG one just looks kinda sterile.

And yeah, it shouldn't be a big mystery why most of the cover characters are female, considering the majority of customers are males. It's easier to make a hot chick than it is to make a badass dude that doesn't look.. well.. paragon.

That is a nice progression of refinement. She turned from a man with breasts into a toned lady warrior.
